Bulgaria’s citizenship program allows investors to receive permanent residency (PR) leading to citizenship with no in country residency requirements. A family’s primary investor applicant must demonstrate a net worth of €1,000,000. Each applicant is required to visit Bulgaria for only two quick visits. Residency is obtained within 3 to 4 months of the initial visa application, and applicants are eligible for citizenship after five years. However, applicants may elect to Fast-Track their citizenship application by doubling their investment granting them citizenship within two years.
Applicants choosing this option must deposit BGN 1 million (€512,000) in a government bond portfolio for an investment period of five years, with no further payment required. At the end of the five-year period, the full amount of BGN 1 million (€512,000) will be returned to the investor without any accrued interest. The investment is fully guaranteed by government bonds.
For a set pre-paid fee, applicants can leverage their capital by choosing the Financed Investment option. These individuals pay a reduced amount of €170,000 that will be used to finance a BGN 1 million (€512,000) closed 5.5-year loan from a Bulgarian chartered bank. This loan is initiated and repaid at no further cost to the investor.
“I was very disheartened when my visa was rejected in 2019. I applied for the visa to a different consultancy in Delhi but they only gave me hope and didn’t do anything affirmative that can assure my immigration application. After a few days, I found out that the guys are a novice and it was a fraud company.”
